Rabbi Michael Friedman, M.Ed., L.P.C., attended CES/JDS, the largest non-denominational Jewish Day School in the US where he sang in their inaugural a capella group and was co-captain of his Varsity Basketball Team.  He completed a B.A. at the University of Maryland, where he co-founded a human rights organization to oppose the brainwashing of child soldiers around the world.   He studied Talmudic law and Jewish Philosophy in Yeshiva Darche Noam/David Shapell College of Jewish Studies and completed a Bachelor of Talmudic Law at Ner Israel Rabbinical College.  He has rabbinical ordination from the late Rabbis Gedalia Dov Schwartz and Zalman Nechemia Goldberg, zt'l, two great spiritual luminaries of the generation.  Friedman holds a Master’s of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas at Dallas. He has worked as a community rabbi, Jewish educator, and mental health therapist in Dallas, TX.  He served as the Dallas Chapter Coordinator for Yachad - The National Jewish Council for Disabilities, and  taught Judaic Studies in Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist, and Orthodox institutions.  He is a licensed mental health therapist with specialized training in obsessive thinking, compulsive behavior, infertility, and relationship attunement.  He has facilitated intergroup dialogue at the Jewish Community Center of Dallas and spearheaded a "Faith and Friendship" initiative between Black and Jewish communities in the US with a focus on Collective, Intergenerational Trauma.  He has published articles in Dallas Jewish Monthly and Mental Health Match.
