A native Texan, David Rachman attended Pearce High School, and then continued with his undergraduate studies in Finance and Marketing at the University of Texas in Austin.
After working in the business world for several years, he had an opportunity to begin working with individuals with Autism in ABA therapy. This led to a shift in career and returning back to the University of Texas at Dallas to receive his Master’s in Neuroscience and Cognition, interning at the non-Pareil Autism institute and working in the University's Development of Social Cognition Autism Lab.
The Summer before graduating he spent time learning in Shapell’s Darche Noam Yeshiva in Israel, and returned after graduating to learn in Bircas HaTorah in the Old City of Jerusalem. He has been inspired to keep up his Talmudic studies on a daily basis and maintains a close relationship with his Rabbis.
When Nafshi began, David experienced Jewish meditation for the first time and became an avid follower of the meditation groups. He kept up his practice and this helped him become more conscious and aware and enhance his wellness. He presently works as the Nafshi Coordinator connecting individuals with wellness groups that can be of benefit to them.
